natarajsyntax: proxy_connect_timeout time;
default: proxy_connect_timeout 60s;
Defines a timeout for establishing a connection with the proxied server. It should be noted that this timeout cannot usually exceed 75 seconds.
А почему собственно говоря не более 75 секунд?
И может ли кто-то из присутвующих помочь с настройкой прокси к сильно тормознутому серверу, чтобы обломы выдвал не прокси, а сам сервер, когда не осилил?

а если у тебя долго устанавливается соединение, то... это, мягко говоря, странно.
